INITIAL MEETING

After our meeting, we carefully review your ideas, project scope, budget, and design assumptions. We will then present you with a detailed proposal that outlines the scope of the design project and provides a clear breakdown of design costs.

PRELIMINARY & FEASIBILITY
Here we identify the opportunities and constraints of the site and refine the design brief. During this early stage we may consult with council or other project stakeholders, prepare emails and other administrative tasks researching things like planning requirements, land information, Resource Consent requirements, etc.

CONCEPT DESIGN
We turn your ideas into initial sketches, an important step where visualising helps clarifiy things. This stage often reveals adjustments because it’s only when concepts come to life on paper that we can truly see what works well and what needs refining.

DEVELOPED DESIGN
Once we’re on the same page with the floor plan, we’ll sketch out detailed drawings, including elevations and cross sections, to show you exactly how the house or alteration will look from different angles. Once these design drawings are finalised, you can start reaching out to builders and related tradespeople for quotes.

WORKING DRAWINGS
In this phase, we develop a comprehensive set of plans, details, specifications and documentation required by the local council for Building Consent approval.

BUILDING CONSENT
We’ve got your back. We’ll take care of submitting the working drawings to the Council and
handling any questions they may have on your behalf. Plus, we’ll keep a close eye on the consent
process to make sure your building permit gets approved quickly. And if any changes come up during construction, we’re ready to handle them smoothly.
